928-930 rue Wellington
Le 930 Wellington a longtemps été occupé par la compagnie Paco. On peut encore voir les grandes lettres blanches « Paco Corp » sur le toit de cet édifice, très visibles pour les automobilistes qui arrivent par l’autoroute Bonaventure. Le groupe Paco, qui détient Gala, est toujours actif.
122-124 rue McGill
L’homme d’affaires Jesse Joseph fait construire cet immeuble en 1884-1885. Entre 1885 et 1898, la confiserie James W. Tester and Co. occupe ce bâtiment ainsi que l’immeuble voisin au nord. La compagnie emploie environ 80 personnes dans ces deux bâtiments, produisant des produits chocolatiers, des caramels et autres confiseries. En 1903, l’immeuble subit d’importants dommages lors d’un incendie : le toit d’origine, mansardé, disparaît fort probablement à ce moment.
