My family moved into this house, as the first occupants, the 23rd June 1947. The home was 2 storeys, with 2 bdrms on the 2nd floor. The main floor comprised 2 bdrms, a 3 pc bathroom, living room, dining room and attached shed converted into a kitchen w/washing machine. Outside there was a front and rear garden. A long paved drive on the side of the property w/1 patio having direct access to the kitchen/dining room. A 2nd patio was at a lower level to the rear of the kitchen and adjoining the upper patio on the side, at the back, of the residence. Behind the house was a paved lane way accessed from an open gateway in the corner at the rear of our back yard.
