My grandfather Benjamin Blum and his brothers bought this building in 1920. They lived on First Avenue but owned a few other properties under their corporate name, BMH Realty. When their oldest brother arrived in America with his family he opened a dry goods store and lived in the apartment over the store.
Anyone know who built and originally owned 309 E. 61st Street?

What was at 306 E 6th St before the current building built in 1900? I have as 1880 census showing a family living at this address.
